“My work is to help men become grounded, self-aware, and resilient—men who can face pressure, stay connected, and act with integrity. I believe real strength is formed through honesty, discipline, and relationship, not image or performance.”
— Josh Gilbert
Men of Resilience was founded by Josh Gilbert to help young men develop strength that is honest, durable, and grounded in character.
Josh’s work sits at the intersection of formation, discipline, and connection—shaped by lived experience in leadership, athletics, faith, and personal recovery.
After years of walking with men in high-pressure environments, Josh saw a consistent pattern:
Many men were being taught how to perform, but not how to lead themselves.
They were encouraged to be tough—but not self-aware.
Driven—but not connected.
Capable—but unsure of their identity.
Men of Resilience was built to address that gap.
Josh is a certified life coach who brings experience from multiple formation contexts:
His approach blends emotional awareness, spiritual grounding, and practical discipline—without hype or moralizing.
Josh has been married since 1998, and is a proud father and grandfather of all boys.
Josh’s coaching is informed by his own journey of sobriety, self-examination, and dependence on God.
That experience shaped a core conviction:
Real strength is not self-reliance—it is honest connection, practiced discipline, and lived integrity.
This work is not theoretical.
It is practiced. It's personal.
Josh believes:
• Awareness precedes change
• Confidence grows through competence
• Connection sustains endurance
• Discipline without identity leads to burnout
Resilience is not something you demand from yourself.
It is something you build—over time, with support and intention.
Josh primarily works with men ages 18–26 who:
• Feel pressure but lack clarity
• Want confidence without pretending
• Are navigating transition, failure, or identity questions
• Are ready to take responsibility for their growth
Parents appreciate Josh’s emphasis on character, accountability, and emotional maturity.
